My two close friends are going through a breakup. They have a hard time discussing their feelings to others, so my fiancé and I decided to reach out to both of them and let them know we’re here for them anytime they need. No judgements, just listening and letting them express themselves. We took the first step in reaching out knowing they wouldn’t do it on their own – thinking they’d be a burden. Spending time with each of them allowed them to think clearly about the situation and feel validated. We will always be happy to reach out to our friends, even if they say they’re ok!
Went camping in state park in a rural area, had to go buy some staples as our original plans did not work out. Was checking out and a mom with a infant was behind me when her 5yr old son came up with a bag of candy, she chastised the child that she did not have money for that, while she went with the son to put up the candy, I walked around and grabbed the same bag from another register , and told the cashier to ring up her whole order as well, paid, and the I left. I have been right where she was, and it broke my heart. To tell my son he could not have a dollar because I didn’t have it to give to him.
Today I bought $50 worth of school supplies to replenish midyear supplies.
