I went grocery shopping with my boyfriend & we were inline to check out when this family in front of us was checking out but they didn’t have enough to buy formula or diapers for there baby. So I said I’ll get the formula, and diapers for you. The family really appreciated the help. Until this lady behind us said I’m a social worker & I need your information because you can’t take care of that baby. How wrong is that because that family needed help & that is how a LOT of people would see it. We were so happy to help that family.
I support 2 kids in Ethopia and Guatemala so they get regular meals, education and healthcare.
I paid for the car behind me at Starbucks.
My two close friends are going through a breakup. They have a hard time discussing their feelings to others, so my fiancé and I decided to reach out to both of them and let them know we’re here for them anytime they need. No judgements, just listening and letting them express themselves. We took the first step in reaching out knowing they wouldn’t do it on their own – thinking they’d be a burden. Spending time with each of them allowed them to think clearly about the situation and feel validated. We will always be happy to reach out to our friends, even if they say they’re ok!
Went camping in state park in a rural area, had to go buy some staples as our original plans did not work out. Was checking out and a mom with a infant was behind me when her 5yr old son came up with a bag of candy, she chastised the child that she did not have money for that, while she went with the son to put up the candy, I walked around and grabbed the same bag from another register , and told the cashier to ring up her whole order as well, paid, and the I left. I have been right where she was, and it broke my heart. To tell my son he could not have a dollar because I didn’t have it to give to him.
