  1. An elderly gentleman was short some small change at the supermarket check-out. He was getting a little confused about how much he had to pay…..I happily threw in the difference 🙂

  2. Yesterday when I was out with my son when he was riding his bike, everyone (Most elderly people) stopped and wanted to talk and tell him how nice his bike was, his hat, his helmet….And also squeeze his cheeks. Normally I would try and leave the situation..but this time I just stayed and reflected on how much that probably meant for them. Maybe they don’t have children or grandchildren or they live far away…so if we could make someone smile by doing that, we don’t leave, we stay with them. 🙂

  3. I live in a rural area and whenever I go to a large city I always feel the need to do something. Seeing all the homeless people is heartbreaking. I always think, “You are someone’s child.” Last winter my brother, Larry, and I went to Chicago, and as we walked by homeless person after homeless person I had that same thought and feeling. Then an epiphany came to me. Start with just one person. Do one thing. So I did. I helped four homeless men that weekend. Three with a meal and the last as we were going to catch the train to the airport. A man was standing just inside the door holding out a cup. I passed him then stopped. Turned around. Dug into my billfold and gave him my last dollar. I tell you…just seeing each man’s smile and thankfulness with being treated with a little kindness. ONE HUMAN FAMILY
