I brought in a whole big bag of baby wipes for another teacher .
For this Mother’s Day in honor of my mother as tribute to all the great mothers I know I decided to take to the streets with a couple dozen flowers.
First met with me big brudder Louis to give our respect to the OG. The reason you’re all probably annoyed by my posts but sorrynotsorry lmao. My momma. She’s been gone for 29 mothers days and she’s looking great still!
He bought. I cleaned.. older brothers amirite🙄😂
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stop by ALL the important mothers I know (and I’m sorry for that..) due to time and fricken construction.. I didn’t forget about you just my truck only goes so fast lol
But I did get a few stops in just to say hi, happy Mother’s Day and drop off a single flower. Just a simple gesture to say you rock!
I was also able to hand out about 15 ish flowers to strangers.. the women who I saw walking alone, the elderly grandma looking one, a mom pushing 2 in a stroller with one on her side leaving a grocery store.. some maybe didn’t have kids, maybe did. Maybe some lost their child.. who knows? I didn’t.. I chose those whom appeared to not have anyone or too much. No interaction lasted for more than a minute but seemed to change a persons day for the better 🙂
In this day and age and given the sheer shock and reluctance by some to accept the simple flower it was probably risky business but I meant no harm and if I had to explain it to an officer because I freaked someone out with a kind gesture then that’s something I was going to have to go through to make another believer that we can change the world.. one act at a time, that people CAN actually mean you no harm. They can do something without payment or agenda.. and to live up to my word given to my angel above to make a change in this world in her honor, for her grandchildren..
The rest were given to my daughters with words I hope will stay with them when they’re older, have kids and don’t feel they can manage it all. “Happy Mother’s Day for the amazing mothers you’ll be one day. I’m already proud of you. I appreciate you both for just being you, you are more than enough”
Happy Mother’s Day to every single one of you! The dads like mine who had to be both parents.. Even fur baby mommas!
Be kind to one another and watch the change happen!
on Mondays I cook dinner to help share the house chores around.
I cook a meal for my friend and her 2 sons once a week. She is a single working mum with both sons on the autism spectrum. She takes them to sport practices, attends all their games, gives up her time to coach their teams.
And then she comes home and has to cook, clean, wash dishes etc.
So one day a week I cook a meal and make a salad and take it to their house so that she doesn’t have to do it.
Sometimes I can stay and share it with them, sometimes I can’t. But I always know it’s appreciated and I know that it helps her, and it helps me to do something nice for someone else
This is finals week at the university where I work. For the past 20 years I have bought and hung candy and fun pencils on my door (and restocked!) all week for the students and faculty.
