An elderly lady (83) had received a parking fine ($561). She had not put her ‘Mobility Parking Scheme’ permit on her windscreen correctly. The easiest way to apply for leniency for the fine is via the RMS website. Her family (daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren ) had not offered to assist. I scanned her documents, completed the necessary forms and lodged the appeal in her name. Hopefully the RMS will cancel the fine. Here’s hoping, To Be Continued……..
A woman in our community had just become the caregiver of her 3 young grandsons due to drugs and violence. She was in need of a Christmas tree for the boys. I was put in touch with her after talking to a good friend. My organization took the 7ft. tree and all of the ornaments we had at the office and gave them to this grandmother so her boys would have a Christmas tree. We also purchased gifts, not just for the boys, but a gift for her as well. She was so appreciative of the kindness shown to her and her grandsons.
Bought a meal for a homeless person. Made me feel great.
