When I lost my phone on a rainy night in a forested area recently, my friend went with me to look for it in the wet weather for a long time, despite knowing there were a lot of leeches around. I appreciated how she trudged through the mud with her torch, looking for my phone with me. When we got back, my husband and I had gotten leeches on our feet and ended up dirtying her carpet with our blood…but she and her partner never complained and simply helped us scrub the carpet to try to remove the stains. I know this is what friends are for, but I still felt very grateful that night for their kindness.
Logging for a student who showed kindness in my class today! Aidee finished her work and then offered to help a student catch up who had been absent. She sat and guided her through a task with kindness and patience. Well done Aidee!
