I once gave up my seat for an elderly man and i felt great about it!
On 11/20/18, My brother and I were driving separately, to our parents house, for Thanksgiving. After a long 8 hours, on the road, we arrived at the same fast food restaurant at the same time, in Maryville Tennessee. I paid for my brothers meal, then he in turn paid for the meal of the guy behind him; who paid for the person behind him. My brother and I pulled up alongside each other and watched as five strangers paid the kindness forward just because I paid for my brothers lunch. ❤️
I volunteered for Housing Families First, a nonprofit in my city that provides shelter and housing services to families.
I payed for an elderly man’s coffee at my local cafe.
I have a colleague, Diego, who works here at Hunterdon Medical Center in NJ with me. His brother was killed in an accident approximately 18 months ago, and Diego is taking care of his brother’s young children Olivia, nine years old, and Robert, 12 years old, part time (every other weekend) to take some of the burden off of his sister in law. Diego, and his whole family are huge Yankees Fans, so (although I’m a die hard Red Sox Fan), I bid and won (in a hospital auction) a Yankees package for four with the opportunity to get on the field for batting practice! I was so excited to give the ticket package to Diego and his family that I couldn’t wait until Christmas!
I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to bring some happiness to such wonderful people and I’m so lucky to have Diego as a friend! Happy Holidays!
