  1. I’m a special ed teacher…I don’t reflect on how my kindness impacts children daily until I received a letter from a mother thanking me. Her son went home and told her that I stood up for him against bullies who stole something out of his bag. He is not in my class and it did not benefit me to do so. However, the expression on his face when someone actually stepped up without being asked to, without being part of the job…was priceless.

  2. My Thanksgiving Day plans with family was cancelled due to my husband getting sick. This forced me to think of a contingency plan to provide a hot meal for my husband and kids, whom were now stuck at home. While running out and picking up our food from the only restaurant open (Metro Diner), I passed a small group of construction workers, freezing in the cold but working hard on Thanksgiving. Not sure what the situation was, but I felt they too needed a hot meal. So while picking up my family’s food, on a whim, I purchased an additional 4 hot Turkey dinners and brought it to the workers and wished them a Happy Thanksgiving. Everyone deserves a nice hot meal during a time that we should all feel Thankful for our blessings.

  3. Not a huge A of K ,however sadly these days it is … I let multiple people into the line of various traffic situations on my 45 minute drive today . I also helped the receptionist at the company where I had my appointment by changing the survey page over . She hadn’t realised it was full . She did thank me 😊

  4. I have a personal care nurse who is required to attend to my care 3 times each week for going on 4 years now. His first child has just started pulling himself up on the furniture and I know how much he feels he’s missing while at work. Every time I am able I will go through the steps I’ve watchef him do and film myself so he can check. I then tell him because it’s such a short visit – to go be with the baby as I’m the last patient. He made it home in time to see his son take his first steps and that made his world! EVERYONE wins!!
Ps. – it was all my idea and he still insisted on coming so no-one thinks he is taking advantage! 🙂
