A co-worker recently had to leave work because of a migraine headache. We were to work together the next day on an evening project. I sent her an email asking how she was feeling and whether she would be able to participate in that event. When we met up that night, she verbalized that she was feeling terrible about having to leave work and inconveniencing others. I assured her that it was nothing she had planned and that our co-workers were empathetic and understood that she hadn’t intended to become ill and to leave them hanging. She thanked me for supporting her, for caring about how she was feeling and for not adding to her angst. We need to be there for each other!
I asked an elderly woman in the gym if she needed help with the machine, as it looked like she was confused
My neighbour brought my bins in for us.
I made a vegetarian meal and thought I would share a plate of it to two of my vegetarian friends over the weekend.
A colleague was called up to receive an an award so I smiled and High fived him on his way past me 🙂
