As part of Kindness week at Kaplan Business School Sydney, we helped a lovely homeless person, named Lina, by buying her coffee and sandwich, then she told us how she need a ride to get to her housing place but didn’t know how to get there. So we offered her an Uber ride and helped load her belongings into the car. She told us how it was hard for her as all she had was taken away from her. It was really rewarding when she mentioned the act of kindness like this is the one that helped her stay alive.
We said “hello” and “have a good day” to people walking by on the street, some of them turned back to us with a big smile on their face and said “have a good day” back to us.
We saw a car that belongs to a company and we google it and found out it is an award winning marketing agency (Humble Production) and we sticked an inspirational post-it note on the car
Helping the homeless reach her destination via Uber or Grab and wishing her goodness in life, given her a cup of coffee and lastly made her smile amidst what is she going through
As part of a work group “act of kindness walk” around the city, I realised I had $20 in my wallet so donated that to a man living in the streets. But I also realised that saying hello and smiling and acknowledging another man in a similar situation the next street on was also an act of kindness- I made that man visible to a busy public often passing him by with noticing him.
We approached a group of homeless people at Circular Quay and bought them a warm lunch and drinks
