It was not me it was my 11 year old daughter. She is in a dance troop at school and one of the students missed a competition. When they were giving out medals at school the next week for the competition the girl who missed the competition was very upset as she was not receiving any medals.
My daughter secretly placed one of her medals from that competition into the bag of the girl who was upset. That made me really proud of her – and her generous spirit. Even nicer that she did it so unobtrusively – she did not want any recognition or acknowledgement for the act of kindness, she just wanted to make the other girl less upset.
We gave all the teachers a coffee or tea with a kind note on it.
Making raspberry jam and my 5 year old son giving his school crossing man Rob a jar!
I held the door for someone, gave high fived a friend.
