Walking that morning to get a coffee, I saw a lady having trouble with stepping up the curb after crossing the road. Lots of people just walked past, giving her evil looks for not getting out of their way. I stepped up to her and asked if she needed help. She nodded and I offered my assistance lending my arm to lean on and walked her up to her house, some distance away. After making sure she was safe, I resumed my journey back to get my morning coffee.
Now, everyone seems to know me at my regular coffee place because the lady in trouble is somehow connected to them.
On a trip, my classmate borrowed me a powerbank.
I prepared a resume for a new arrival to Australia and connected them to potential employment opportunities
Travelled to the Philippines and conducted feeding programs to those who struggle in poverty. This experience really opened my mind and heart to the small but impactful things that we can do as a community.
