When feeling rather down recently a lovely lady complimented me on how lovely I looked while shopping. I thanked her and gave her the biggest smile. She too smiled and we both went about our day. Those few words brightened my day immensely and I went away walking with a spring in my step. It doesn’t take much to be kind.

I made my mother in law a surprise 5 course meal dinner to celebrate her. She had no idea that it was coming and she was so delighted. I made all her favourite foods, including a cardamon cheesecake. She said she was in heaven. It felt so good to do this for her.
