  1. I try and do something almost every day. I might buy someone’s meal or coffee with out them knowing… I love to go to the grocery store and smile and help people. There are so many people that either need help or just want to chat with someone friendly.
I believe in doing kind things and not telling everyone. Kind acts are for you… not for you to brag about how great you are because you did something nice today…. but since you want people to do this… okay! There are so many kind people in thus world!

  2. In line at a notions store, the clerk would not give an Amish woman some coupons (claiming they had no store copies even though they were sitting on the counter in front of her). Without causing a scene, I used my electronic copy to help her get her discount on her wool.

  3. My sweet friend is dying of a rare form of stomach cancer. She has two grown kids including a 40 yr old disabled daughter who lives at home. I’ve been her daughter’s health coach for 12 years and have grown to love this family as my own. “Miss JoAnn has taught countless adults and children to swim, taught preschool, knitted hundreds of items for babies in need. We have several very loved items she has made for us as well. Now they’re in need. I am helping take her daughter to and from work, bringing the family meals and being her daughters “imaginary Fairy.” It breaks my heart to watch as they come to terms with Mom’s rapidly approaching end of life. Every day is literally a gift when I get to see her smile or give her a hug. I’m able to use this experience to teach my kids about human kindness, and truely cherishing the blessed life we have been given.

This was so hard to write because it is happening so fast and putting the words down makes it so real. I don’t want to be recognized for being a good human being. That should be expected. I want for Miss JoAnn’s life to be recognized for how much she has given our community! She truely is a WONDERFUL woman and I’m SO SO grateful to be a part of her life and family!!
