A homeless man sat next to me in church; dirty clothes & smelling dreadful. I drove him to get Burger King (inside) then to Goodwill. He chose & I bought him 2 sets of clean clothes. I drove him to a nearby AA meeting to hopefully connect with others who could help him and wished him well
I am friends with a young woman who is a single mother, going to school to become a Nurse and runs her own business out of spare room in her apartment. Our paths just recently crossed and I am so inspired by the example she is setting for her young daughter. I have a couple of designer purses that are new that I just don’t use. I know she can’t afford designer purses, but I can’t think of anyone more deserving.
I’m heavily pregnant and I waited fifteen minutes in line to get lunch at a burger shop. It was packed! I got to the front of the line and ordered and as I took out my credit card to pay, the lady behind the till said they only take cash. I stood there a moment & she then told me to eat and get the cash after. Whilst eating my lunch a male tradie put a ten dollar note on my table and said, “here you go, that will cover it”. I asked his name and details so I could repay it but he insisted he was happy to shout.
I was at coles at the check out & a single mum couldn’t afford to pay for a few special items, so she put them back. I told the check out lady to put them with my groceries. So I paid for them, then went & found the single mother, then gave her the items.
Made vegetarian chili for a single mom, following her breast cancer surgery. She just lost her husband to cancer 3 months ago.
