  1. I saw an elderly woman struggling to tie her shoe with it propped up on her shopping cart. She looked unsteady, like she might lose her balance and fall, so I asked her if she would like me to help her tie her shoe. She was so grateful for this small act of kindness. ♥

  2. My neighbour and I take turns of cooking a weekly meal. Its also an opportunity for me to check in with her since loosing her husband.

  3. I was with a group of high school girls listening to a catholic priest, when an elderly woman pulling a shopping cart containing her worldly possessions walked into the church in front of us. Her underwear was around her ankles. I stood walked over to her, pulled up her underwear then sat down next to her.
Later my students asked he how I could touch her and I responded how could I leave her as she was, she deserved some dignity

  4. I helped make 320 rounds of sandwiches for the wake following the funeral of a stranger, who was a good friend to a girl I went to school with 51 years ago
