I was at a show last week and waiting in the queue for the bathroom pre show. A lovely older couple were waiting to access the disabled bathroom outside the ladies and I overheard they had been there for 10 minutes. We were obviously concerned there was someone locked inside (there wasn’t – the lock was just stuck). There were disabled toilets in the ladies but the gentleman didn’t feel right going in with his wife. I offered to take her in and assist her with access to the disabled toilet. Not a big deal for me at all – but hopefully very helpful for them – and we all got to enjoy an amazing show (Tina Turner Musical – incredible FYI!). Have felt good about this ever since.
Yesterday I mowed the lawn of a very! over grown yard for an aging couple with health problems
My family and I have been in quarantine at home for weeks as one by one we’ve each caught Covid. We’re in our 3rd week now. This morning our gardener popped by and when he finished mowing he offered to go to the local coffee shop to buy the boys and I milkshakes or coffee. He wouldn’t accept any money from me either.
We’ve opened up our property this morning to some of the local families to move their horses and animals to stay safe from the fires. xx
During Melbourne Winter lockdown I made soups for my neighbour who lives alone and was struggling at that time
