I sponsored a 5 year old Australian child today through the Smith Family. I want to show my 2 daughters the power of giving to those less fortunate and follow the little girl’s journey through school.
NT Cricket was invited to take part in the 2019 McHappy Day to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. As our U15 group had already begun discussing individual and group “community challenges” we saw this as an important opportunity to get involved for a worthy cause. All boys and families jumped at the chance to get involved and I’m please to say were enthusiastically involved for the entire time we were at McDonalds. For the coaches this day was a very proud moment as our journey, whilst just begun, isn’t only about developing our players skills but getting them to think and react outside their comfort zones, understanding the bigger picture in life and genuinely recognise why it’s important to give back to the less fortunate or anyone doing it tough – Darren Treumer, Coach NT Cricket Under 15 National Championships Sqaud
