  1. My friend who had to have hip surgery and has has a disability to begin with. needed her hair cut but is house bound till after the holidays. She asked for help on social media with no response. I live 100 miles away but know a lot of people in her area. So I asked if I could repost and tagged a few people she now has had someone come and cut her hair and has a person coming by weekly to help her wash it. As this is difficult for her too.

  2. I was on the bus on my way to work and two foreign tourists were asking the bus driver how to get to the subway, but he wasn’t sure exactly. I told them I’d show them, and when we got off I walked them to the subway station even though I was already late to work and it wasn’t in the direction of my office. They were so thankful, and we had a short but wonderful conversation. I’ve traveled alone and have been the recipient of such simple acts of kindness too many times to count, so I’m grateful to have been able to help.

  3. Adopted a family of three children for Christmas- buying each child an outfit, undergarments, and a few toys from their wish lists. I’m happy that our family can make their holiday a bit brighter.

  4. Walking to work I came across a girl trying to put her bicycle chain back on, without success. I stopped to help her and with that, encouraged another girl to assist me. It worked! and the young lady we assisted was very grateful.
