A person was in need of a lift 200klm from Mackay to Moranbah. I was going that way for work so happy to help 🙂
The mother’s room at work, I got sticky notes and a marker and wrote the message “you are a good mom.” I left the extra blank notes and marker in hopes that people would add more. They have! One of the notes added states, “I love this idea! <3 you mommas!”
Donating Blood.
In October we had a young teenager patient come for her clinic appointment at our hospital, and she told us that she was having trouble reading the board in class. She was a good student, but she was struggling recently with not being able to see very well.
It turns out that she had broken her glasses, and her mum could not afford to buy her a new pair.
I contacted her local SpecSavers Optometrist and told the manager about the situation, and between our team and SpecSavers we all chipped in and were able to buy her a completely brand new, trendy pair of glasses. We were even able to upgrade on the lenses so that she can see the board and her book work.
A big thanks to Hayley and the team at SpecSavers Ingleburn, NSW, Australia for helping out a random stranger! Thank you for taking my call that day.
