In NY, our amazing doormen continue to come to the building during the pandemic to work and help keep us all safe and comfortable, but it’s hard for them to get lunch or dinner without risking too much contact. I, along with other kind tenants, donated to a collection to help make sure they are provided food safely.
I donated money to a girl who’s dog needs lifesaving surgery.
While filling up at the petrol station last night, a nurse pulled in to another bowser after her shift. When I went in to pay for my fuel, I decided to pay for hers too. As I left, I told her the fuel was paid for, and thanked her for all she is doing for others
On Easter Sunday (albeit during lockdown) I took three of my neighbours an afternoon tea! One in particular could not stop laughing, she said it had made her year. The rest of the baking went out to 7 elderly neighbours who were isolating and alone.
So yes this was my Act of Kindness. Long may they continue during this surreal time.
I wished someone good luck during isolation in this unfortunate time.
