I gifted my nail tech and eyebrow beautician a bunch of flowers each when I had my first appointment back with them after lockdown. After not working for months during lockdown and then suddenly being swamped with clients to fit everyone back in, I can only imagine how busy they are and will be before Christmas!
Thank you to my friend elisa who always offers me kindness when she knows I need it. She doesn’t even wait for me to ask she just does something to show me she cares. Tonight she made me dinner and it made my week to know that I have a friend who cares.
Jackie Hislop of Wodonga has appeared in a video clip speaking in her native language of Swahili to encourage people from the many countries of the Africa continent to get vaccinated against COVID. Well done Jackie your efforts will be rewarded.
i was approaching a shopping centre and coming the other way was an elderly woman walking with the support of 2 walking sticks. My initial thought was if I gave her a piggy back.., but I saw that she was approaching a stationary car with an equally old man in the driver's seat. I offered to open the passenger door for her, she explained that her husband also needed to use 2 sticks to get around, I held the door open for her, while she explained that her legs were 'kaput!' She thanked me for helping her, and I reflected how a simple act made a difference to her. I think we both went away with a smile on our faces.
Gave 24 of my neighbours a weekly gift and note of encouragement during lockdown.
