Was driving home with the groceries on a rainy Sunday afternoon. On the other side of the road a car had stopped in the left hand lane…. hazard lights on…. and I saw a dog lying on the road. I pulled up too and went to see if I could help. This young couple had stopped to try to help the dog… but sadly it had already passed. Although we couldn't do anything for the dog, the young couple tried phoning the number on the collar, and we respectfully picked her up and moved her away from the middle of the road. As all this was going on, another kind human came to check we were all okay. It felt important to try to do something, and I hope the dog's owner will find some comfort in knowing others tried, and cared. R.I.P. lil' dog
