  1. I was walking down Swanston Street on Thursday night to meet a friend for dinner and came across a guy that was dressed up in a pink balloons outfit handing out pamphlets for a show to the comedy festival outside the Town Hall. He looked really sad and like he didn’t want to be there, so I told him that he looked amazing. His face lit right up and thanked me. I felt great that I had brightened up someone’s otherwise dreary evening. It doesn’t take much to compliment someone. I do it often. 😊

  2. Being present for a neighbour and reminding them they need to look after themselves before they can be there for others. That they need to do something that makes them happy. Not doing it for others.

  3. Being served by a busy young check out girl, I stopped and complimented her on her hair.

  4. Kath came to my camp and talked to us about herself and that gave me inspiration to go on with my day.
