On Thanksgiving I had to work at the hospital, specifically I was assigned to sit in with a patient that attempted suicide. My job was just to watch her, but I thought this woman needed to feel some love. I went and bought her some chocolate and a Dr. Pepper (her favorite). I turned on the Macys day parade and just spent time getting to know her. I prayed with her, helped her take a shower, did her hair, and just poured as much love as I could on her. At the end of my shift before I left I gave her a huge hug, she told me that i changed her life. That because of me she was going to get her life back on track, and not do this again. I know it was God for sure that worked through me that day. It was such an amazing experience to see what a little love can do!
What my kindness was I give my coupons to people for there food in McDonald’s.
I gave several hours of counseling this.
Week to a lady who could leave her house.I also bought s coffee to lady in hair salon as we waited for our to get done.
The elementary school that my son goes to, and I also work at, has an agel tree. This year we had OVER 100 tags on it!! My sweet 8 year old came home and was so excited to go pick a tag. As of 2 days ago there were still 100, so he and I went and picked 2 more tags yesterday! He was so excited to help me wrap them so we can take them back to the school to get ready to be delivered!! I love watching my kids with the desire to serve others and do kind things for them!
Our son died January 7, 2017, while serving his country. My neighbors showed up and helped in ways I am so grateful for. From meals, flowers, cards, words of kindness and a whole lot more. These acts helped us get through one of the hardest events our life. Today, one couple offers hugs on demand! They have really been a life saver.
