Metropolitan Community Church of San Antonio served a yummy Thanksgiving meal to all in the community that came through our doors.
A lady dropped a menu from the counter and was unable to bend over to pick it up, so I picked it up for her.
I received an act of kindness from a stranger. I was at the register at the local grocery store and my food items scanned to about $80. When I went to pay , my card didn’t work as it had expired, and i realised i had accidently brought the old card with me to the shop. I asked the cashier to hold by bag of groceries behind the counter while i raced home to get my new card – i lived 5 minutes down the road. When i arrived back 5 minutes later with my card and wanted to pay, the cashier told me that when i left the store the man that was in the queue behind me had paid for my $80 bag of groceries – he did not leave a name or any details for me to pay him back or thank him. I left a note with the cashier in case she had ever seen him come back – but he never did. This was a pure act of kindness from a stranger -and if you are out there thankyou so much. I will always remember this selfless and generous act and will pay it forward.
I helped a teammate by encouraging them to keep trying.
I gave some flowers from my garden to a single mum next door.
