  1. My Dad and I were caring for my Mum full time as she had an aggressive brain cancer. I planned to work one Friday because I needed to source a few things from the city but my head wasn’t focused on work. I parked in Surry hills for 5 minutes, I didn’t buy a ticket and when I returned I had been issued a parking ticket. Already feeling overwhelmed about having found out the day before that Mum only had weeks to live I felt compelled to find the parking officer to explain my situation. As I approached him he asked ‘What’s wrong?’ and I responded ‘Can we talk?’ He said ‘of course’ and immediately removed his Parking attendant vest. He then sat by my side on the gutter and we spoke for over an hour. He was incredibly uplifting and I felt happy and revitalised thanks to his kindness.

  2. The bus driver left a guy standing and smirked as he drove off. I saw this from car wash as I was leaving. I picked him up and drove him home.

  3. The fire bragade have kept us all safe during the fire and they risk there lives for millions of other lives
