Preparing and Donating (with my 12 yr old daughter) Teen Bags for upcomming “its in the bag” for #sharethedignity.
1 completed, 2nd almost completed
I volunteer for Share the Dignity (sharethedignity.com.au) collecting sanitary items and delivering to local charities for girls and women in need . For the It’s in the Bag campaign I have put together bags to give a girl/woman experiencing homelessness, poverty or domestic violence a gift this Christmas.
Share the Dignity volunteer, collecting bags for “It’s In The Bag” drive and delivering to shelters and charities for lafies in need
Volunteering with Share the Dignity. Helping to end period poverty for women in Australia who are doing it tough! Women and teen girls who have escaped domestic violence, women and teen girls who are homeless, women and teen girls who are living period poverty every month and have to resort to using any items they can find to absorb their periods. Teen girls are missing school every month because of their periods and not having access to sanitary products, so we at share the dignity are trying to change that and get these girls back in school. We also aim to keep women dignified at that time of the month, regardless of circumstances, no woman should have to use items that are not intended for soaking up a period. We make these items accessible.
Packed a second lunchbox for my daughter to deliver to a child whom does not bring lunch
