Example from yesterday – I had a very busy day in cafe with limited team capacity, but despite the pressure, the team did an incredible job working together. They stayed positive, smiled throughout, and ensured our customers had a memorable experience.
This effort did not go unnoticed – a customer named Barry approached me to acknowledge the team’s hard work. He mentioned that he could see how busy we were, yet appreciated how happy, kind, and professional everyone remained during the rush. He was genuinely impressed by the teamwork and the good laugh shared among the team, even in such a busy period.
I want to acknowledge Sarah (GM), Jacinta (Shift Manager) from Mingara Club, and the entire hotel team for their calm, caring and professional response to an in-house medical emergency yesterday. A guest suffered a seizure, and the team immediately stepped in — reassuring both the guest and his partner, staying with them throughout, and continuing to support them when they returned later that night.
Their compassion didn’t stop there. The team checked in again today to offer help as the couple worked through their plans for the coming days.
