  1. I have been more grateful for all that I have in my life since hearing Kath’s story at a conference In Cairns.
This feeling has been enhanced by the recent events in Bondi where I swim regularly.
Simply things like a smile or a greeting to strangers make me feel better about where we live.
As to the acts of kindness that lead me to post: My wife and I were driving to Sutherland to see three of our grandchildren and their parents. Stopped at traffic lights a driver pulled to one side and told us that we had a flat tyre.
We thanked him and slowly made our way to the nearest service station only to find that the air company was not working.
Another driver pulled over (after filling up) and offered us his portable compressor which enabled us to make it to a tyre repairer.
Small acts that made a great difference to our day!
Be kind and grateful and make a difference to others!

  2. A mother was with her young son in the supermarket, pram and hands, full of groceries, when I overheard the young
boy asking to go to the toilet. To save her having to rush through the checkouts, risking an accident for her (clearly toilet training) son, I offered to watch all of her belongings in the isle of the supermarket whilst she took him to the bathroom. She immediately accepted the help from a fellow boy mum and throughly appreciated it!

  3. I returned library books for an elderly lady I met at the shopping centre so she didn’t have to carry the heavy bag while she was finished her other shopping.
