I gave someone a compliment and they were so happy to receive it, it made my heart warm at the fact that I made them smile. She carried on the compliment by giving someone else a compliment

I was in the McDonalds drive thru and I let another car go ahead of me. She had kids in the car and I was by myself so time didn't wasn't an issue for me.
When I got to the window to pay the cashier said "Your order was 1 snack wrap and 1 regular frappe. I went to get my card out to pay and was advised my order has been paid for by the car in front of me.
I was totally shocked. I drove forward a little bit and the car in front was still waiting for their order. I got out of the car and thanked the lady. She said that's ok and you have a great day, If there was a car behind me I would have done the same. Instead the following day I paid for someone to have a coffee and cake.
I felt very proud to be Australian and was very happy this total stranger showed me kindness. My day improved immensely and I kept smiling for the rest of the day.
One act of kindness from a stranger can really make a difference to someone's life.

Was driving home with the groceries on a rainy Sunday afternoon. On the other side of the road a car had stopped in the left hand lane.... hazard lights on.... and I saw a dog lying on the road. I pulled up too and went to see if I could help. This young couple had stopped to try to help the dog... but sadly it had already passed. Although we couldn't do anything for the dog, the young couple tried phoning the number on the collar, and we respectfully picked her up and moved her away from the middle of the road. As all this was going on, another kind human came to check we were all okay. It felt important to try to do something, and I hope the dog's owner will find some comfort in knowing others tried, and cared. R.I.P. lil' dog
